Born and raised in India, Sunanda Halder Tannert, 34, has been living and working in Germany since 2003.

After graduating with Honours in Textiles & Clothing, Sunanda got her Masters in Textile & Apparel Design from the acclaimed National Institute of Design in India. Since then, Sunanda has worked as a designer/design consultant with several reputed names in fashion and interiors industry internationally.

Sunanda first introduced a line of home & lifestyle products, in collaboration with British-Indian company Shades of India, under the label of "Sunanda Halder for Shades of India", in Fall 2004. Later, in Spring 2006, she launched her signature line of high-end interior textiles & accessories, under the brand-name Sunanda Halder, a collection that reflected her personal taste in contemporary design with an occasional hint of classic and vintage, while consciously avoiding the ethnic. The Collection has continued to receive generous attention from international media and is proud to be selling through several prestigious departmental stores and top-end interior stores around the world.
